The number seven

seven 1

Today is the last day of the write tribe festival of words. I’m  glad that the ‘ seven theme ‘ festival came off really well.  It was a smooth ride and it didn’t feel like a challenge at all which made it all the more enjoyable.

What I fancied most  were the precious comments  which I received and I got to interact with bloggers not only from India but all over the world. It can’t get better than that. Having interacted with bloggers for the past seven days, I have developed a sense of camaraderie among the group of bloggers.

Since the theme of the festival is seven, I ought to write a few words about the number seven and it’s significance. Honestly speaking the number seven holds a special place in my heart  since childhood probably because  it has a special  significance in the Bible.

I’ve listed seven reasons why the number seven is so significant.

1) In the old testament God created the world in seven days. He took rest on the seventh day.  The number seven stands for symbol of completion  in the Bible.

2) There are seven days in the week. Surprising !

3) There are seven colours in the rainbow. VIBGYOR – Violet, Indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red. Beautiful !

4) There are seven wonders in the world.

5 ) The earth comprises of seven continents.

6) We have seven directions – North, south, east, west, up, down and center.

7) There are seven musical notes.

Do, re, mi fa,so,la,ti. Now, I feel like singing 🙂

I can go on and on about the number seven, but keeping up with the rules, I’ve listed only seven points.  So isn’t seven a magical number ?

I’m so glad that I was a part of this festival. I would like to thank  Corinne for organizing this event and for sharing  posts that  are close to our hearts today. I’d like to thank all my readers and the members of the write tribe team for posting interesting articles and commenting on my posts. I enjoyed reading your posts too 🙂 This is the end of the festival and the beginning of something new.

I am taking part in The Write Tribe Festival of Words 1st – 7th September 2013. Write tribe
